My 1st Mother's Day...

Has been a great one! Pete was on a roll this weekend, moving/re-arranging/assembling furniture to get Baby Thunder's room ready. Because of the big shift of several other rooms we had to do in order to empty out the upstairs guest bedroom, it was a big project! For that fact alone, I felt like his cheerful willingness to do all the work was the best Mom's Day gift he could have given. Little did I know what else he had up his sleeve!

This morning, he got up earlier with Odessa for her morning food and potty routine. After I got up and got showered, he gave me the sweetest card "from" Baby Thunder, which of course made me weep with controlled happiness:) We're hanging out for a little while, and then Odessa rings her bell to go outside to go potty (it's actually quite the cute yet practical trick!). I open the kitchen door and WHAM!--there under the carport--is the most beautiful cruiser bike from Elektra. And, it's for me!!! At this point, I'm crying so hard I can barely speak:) And, it rides as sweet as it looks! So, make sure you check out this week's photos in the Week-by-Week album so you can see my awesome new ride!!!

Here's some special hugs and love to all my "mom-friends" out there!

AAAAAAH, We remember the "getting ready" days very well! What a fun blog you guys have going! Kate I'm glad to hear your pregnancy is going well. It makes for a fast 9 months when all said and done.
When I was on your registry today I say that you guys have registered for the chicco car seat, we too have this car seat and unfortunately can say it works great. Margo was in her first(hopefully last)car accident when she was 8 days old.We hit a deer,$4000 worth of damage to the suv and Margo never felt a thing. We also have the monitor you guys registered for and like that as well.
We are far from being "the baby whisperers", but please let us know if we can share our 4 week parenting experiences with you guys. We look forward to seeing you guys over the holiday weekend!
